Indigenous Youth Leadership Program

Students from Kelvin High School attended the first outing of the Indigenous Youth Leadership Program (IYLP).  Students spent the day at Birds Hill Park, and had the opportunity to learn from Winnipeg School Division's (WSD) Traditional Knowledge Keeper, Dr. Myra Laramee.  Students participated in ceremony and spent the afternoon learning and playing Indigenous games. 

The IYLP is supported by the WSD's Indigenous Graduation Coaches and offers students opportunities to learn and engage with their Indigenous cultures. 

Students will have the opportunity to attend five major full day events.  IYLP is open to Indigenous students who attend Kelvin High School.
