The girls track team at Kelvin have been selected to compete in the "Nike High School Grand Prix" in Toronto on May 11,2013. Only one boys and one girls team from each province are selected to participate. The meet is held at the University of Toronto and all the teams are housed in the University Dormitories. The meet is run like an Olympic event and all the participants get the experience of a competition of that caliber. It a great opportunity for the girls and they are very excited to represent Kelvin and Manitoba. Team members are: Taylor Lafreniere, Bridget O'Flaherty, Alex Berena, Regine ilagan, Cleo Syverson, Taylor McKenty, Lindsey McKenty, Rachael McLeod, Emma Kusch Dahle, Sidney Wakin, Kailey Sprague and Coaches Tim Shynkaruk and Lynne Pelland.
