Holiday Breakfast

It’s a Kelvin Tradition:
Kelvin elves host elementary students during the 14th annual Holiday Breakfast and Celebration
One hundred and ninety-four students from Pinkham School were the honoured guests at the 14th annual holiday breakfast at Ecole Secondaire Kelvin High School on Friday, December 13th.
The celebration began when buses brimming with nursery to Grade 6 students arrived at Kelvin to participate in the morning’s festivities. The young students were paired with Kelvin “buddies,” and headed to the cafeteria for a holiday breakfast. The feast was followed by fun activities, including face painting, cookie decorating and improv. Next, the students gathered in the gym for a visit from Santa and his elves as they disbursed stockings and presents to each and every child.
The breakfast marks the culmination of months of planning and anticipation. Countless Kelvinites have demonstrated the spirit of volunteerism as they work together to fundraise and purchase a new toy for each child, contact local businesses for support, make decorations, bake hundreds of cookies and sew 195 stockings.
Joy, laughter and fun was clearly seen at the holiday breakfast. When the spirit of the season meets the spirit of caring, great things happen as we discover that, together, we can make a difference.
