School Messenger and Safe Arrival

At Shaughnessy Park, it is very important for us to make sure all students arrive safely to school every day. To help with this, we use the Safe Arrival system to track absences.

Here’s how it works:

• If a student is marked absent and the school hasn’t been notified, our office staff will call families.

• All absences are recorded in our attendance system.

How to Report an Absence

Families can quickly report their child’s absence in thre easy ways:

• Call the toll-free number: 1-855-278-4513

• Visit the website: go.schoolmessenger.ca

• Use the SchoolMessenger app on your iPhone, Samsung, or other smartphone device.

Important Things to Know

• If you don’t report your child’s absence, the system will contact you (by phone/email) at all the numbers we have on file until someone responds.

• Reporting through Safe Arrival means you will not receive phone calls.

• Please make sure your contact information is always up to date with the school by calling 204-586-8376 or emailing shaughnessypk@wsd1.org.
