About Our School

Located close to Winnipeg's historic Forks area, Fort Rouge School is an elementary school (Nursery to Grade 6) with a population of approximately 190 students. We offer a variety of programming including:
- Half Day Nursery and Kindergarten program
- Grades 1 to 6 combined classrooms
- Full-Time Physical Education
- Full-Time Music and Integrated Arts
The school also provides space for the Maybrook Children's Centre which offers before-school, lunch, and after-school daycare to children ages 6-12 years old.
In addition to a regular instructional program, the school also offers:
- English as an Additional Language programming
- Integrated Technology
- Integrated Inclusive Education Programming
- Family Room
- Breakfast and Snack programs
- Parent Advisory Council Lunch Program
- Talk to Me Speech and Language Program
