Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra plays at Lord Nelson School

Students at Lord Nelson School had such a treat this month when a group of musicians came from the Winnipeg

Symphony Orchestra to perform a concert for us. A group of seven musicians playing string instruments

(violin, viola, cell and double bass) taught us all about different ways to play their instruments, different styles

of music, the composers who wrote the music, and how the musicians work together as a team to make the

most beautiful music possible. I think one of the students’ favourites was their version of the Angry Birds

theme!
