Hello ESC Community, We need your help ! Coaches Needed ! 

With the return of a new school year, there has been a change in the gym. My name is M. McMaster and I am the new Physical Education teacher at Sacré-Coeur. I look forward to teaching all of the students from grade 1 to grade 8. In our physical education program at ESC is trying to ensure that our students have as many opportunities for engagement in physical activity as possible. Thus, we are looking for parent coaches/helpers to help with extracurricular/sports teams. At our school, we offer sports teams that participate in divisional leagues for our grade 7 and 8 students, and we offer sports teams for mini tournaments for our students in grades 5 and 6. Listed below is information about the sports we offer, the time of year for each sport season, and rough expectations for time commitment.  

Grade 7 and 8 Sports

      2. You will need a Police Information/Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry  

  1. You will need to complete the Respect in Sport program.  

 

Respect in Sport: 

The Respect in Sport program is mandatory for anyone wishing to help coach. It is a free online program that ensures aspiring coaches understand the appropriate behaviors and athletic practices that are expected of coaches in the Winnipeg School Division. The program certification is valid for 5 years. The program has modules that can be completed at a pace that is convenient for you. Total completion time is roughly 2 hours.
