Indigenous Evening of Excellence

These pictures were taken last night at the very first Indigenous Evening of Excellence.

Madyson Favel jigged and got the crowd going.  She was often found in the Great Spirit Lodge dancing to the Drum. She is a grade 12 student who is entering the Build From Within program.  

Kiara Sanderson won her award for Indigenous excellence celebrating her cultural journey and has put in over 300 hours in the past year and a half learning about and supporting others who are in the IYLP program.

Garth McAlpine (Principal of Tec-Voc) won his award for ally in a leadership role.
