Weston School Intramurals for the 2025/2026 School Year
When: Intramurals will take place every Monday – Wednesday (11:00 am – 11:30 am ) Even School days - Room 12 & 14 & Odd School days Room 15,11,10
Games/Sports (Sport each week will be posted outside the gymnasium on the whiteboard):
- Dodgeball
- Soccer
- Basketball
- Volleyball
- Soccer Baseball
- Badminton
- Floor Hockey
- Handball
Terry Fox Run:
We hosted our Terry Fox Run on Monday September 25th from 2:00 PM – 2:30 PM. Our run took place outdoors in the fields of Weston where students ran/walked as many laps as they could to show support for Terry Fox and his vision to raise awareness for cancer research. The week prior during their PE classes students were asked the question, why are we doing this run? We engaged in conversation about Terry Fox and his vision, and watched an educational video about the history of Terry Fox and the Marathon of Hope. Students received Terry Fox stickers, along with some treats to reward them for all their hard work after the run! Please see photos below from our Terry Fox Run:
Sports Programs:
Soccer Team:
- Details: We are excited to announce this year’s soccer team at Weston School being offered to grades 5 and 6 students! This years Soccer team is being put together by Mr. Jones
- When: Our Soccer team started at the end of September with out first practice being on September 11th! Students on the soccer team will practice every Thursday during lunch hour in the gymnasium (1:00pm – 1:55pm).
- Where: Our Soccer team is enrolled in both the Inner-City Soccer League and Central Division Soccer League.
- Inner City Soccer is on going from October – March, with 4-5 games/tournaments being played in that time span. These games will take place at the University of Winnipeg Axworthy Health and RecPlex.
- Central Division Soccer includes two outdoor soccer tournaments
