Grizzly Intramurals

September 15, 2022

Dear Parents/Guardians,

As we continue to move forward after a few years of Covid Restrictions, I am excited to inform all of you that we will begin our intramural program once again.  Below is some information that you can refer to that will be offered throughout the school year.

Grade 3 intramurals

Every Monday for the months of October and November the grade 3 students will have the opportunity to come to the gym during lunch hour to participate in various activities that will further extend their manipulative skill development.  These activities will be led by our student leadership team and will be supervised by one of our teaching staff.

Grade 4 intramurals

Every Wednesday for the months of October and November the grade 4 students will have the opportunity to come to the gym during lunch hour to participate in various activities that will further extend their manipulative skill development.  These activities will be led by our student leadership team and will be supervised by one of our teaching staff.

Grades 5 and 6 intramurals

Grades 5 and 6 students will have the opportunity to participate in organized extra-curricular sports.  Some of the sports they will be offered are soccer, volleyball, basketball, badminton and ultimate football.  Prior to the start of each sport a permission form will be sent home informing you of the practice dates and any pertinent information you will require.  Practices will likely be during lunch hours on Tuesday's and Thursday's.

Grades 7 and 8 intramurals

Students in grades 7 and 8 will be provided an opportunity to participate in a leadership program.  They will be encouraged to lead the grades 3 and 4 intramurals with support from a member of the teaching staff.  They will also be provided an opportunity to further develop sport specific skills every Friday during the months of October and November.

Please contact the school should you have any questions related to George V intramural program.

Sincerely,

Mr. Yaremkiewich
