Room 111 - Outdoor Learning
October 25, 2026
Room 111 took their learning outdoors to explore math and science! Working with a partner, students played “Catch and Drop,” collecting 10 spruce cones and gently tossing them to each other. By counting the cones in their hands, partners worked together to figure out how many remained on the ground, practicing counting, problem solving and teamwork.
Students also learned about geese and migration, exploring their behaviours and the predators and hazards they may encounter along their journey. What a wonderful way to connect classroom learning with the natural world!
