​École J. B. Mitchell School is an elementary dual track school, offering an English Program from Nursery to Grade 6 and a French Immersion Program from Kindergarten to Grade 6. The school is located on John Brebeuf Place and Lanark Street. John Brebeuf Place is a short street running parallel to Corydon Avenue and Grant Avenue in the west River Heights area. The school's philosophy is, first and foremost, one unified school with two programs and eight different levels (Nursery to Grade 6). The classrooms in the building are separated by age groupings and not by languages.​
