As part of our crisis response plan, each school is required yearly to practice 3 Lockdown drills, 3 Hold and Secure drills, a monthly Fire Drill, and 1 Evacuation Drill so the children know what to do in case of emergency.

On Friday September 15th we had an informed Lockdown, Hold and Secure, Fire and Evacuation drill. The staff and students walked from Kent Road School to the East Elmwood Community Centre at 490 Keenleyside St. The East Elmwood Community Centre is our evacuation site, if we ever have to leave the school building, this is where we go.
