Technology

February 4, 2021

The computer lab at Kent Road School consists of thirty Dell work stations, a laser printer, a colour laser printer, and a projector. Various peripheral equipment (such as cameras, headset microphones, video recorder) are available as necessary. All classes have access to the computer lab. All students and staff are required to abide by the Acceptable Use Policy of the Winnipeg School Division. Internet access is monitored and every year students are required to have signed parental permission before they may access our network.

Literacy with Information and Communication Technology (LwICT) is about students using learning to use technology ethically and responsibly. It is intended to support critical and creative thinking about information and communication. LwICT is the basis for integration of technology into all areas of the curriculum.
