National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 2023

On September 29, 2023, Tec-Voc High School's students and staff united with schools nationwide in observance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. They reflected on the Winnipeg School Division's Land Acknowledgement and had a chance to ask questions about topics such as the land, treaties, Indigenous communities, and the nations of this territory. These reflections and questions were documented on post-it notes and contributed to "Graffiti Walls'' situated on each floor.

Additionally, students and staff had the opportunity to visit a sacred fire from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, plus enjoy stew and bannock, prepared by the Tec-Voc Culinary Arts Department.

Tec-Voc High School and the Winnipeg School division continue to be committed to truth and reconciliation.
