David Livingstone School Tipi Project: Continuing Our Learning Journey

June 26, 2025

This past school year, David Livingstone School students embarked on a meaningful journey with the tipi at the heart of our learning. The tipi will become a gathering space, a teaching place, and a powerful symbol of our commitment to learning through Indigenous perspectives.

As we look ahead to the upcoming school year, we carry forward the knowledge, relationships, and teachings shared with us. While the tipi project was launched this last year, the lessons and values continue to shape how we teach, learn, and walk together on this path of understanding and reconciliation.

We remain committed to embedding Indigenous perspectives in our daily practice and to honouring the work that has been done — not just as a project, but as a lasting part of who we are as a school.
