Hello Elmwood Families!
My name is Christine Heuring, and I am excited to introduce myself as Elmwood High School’s new Community Support Worker (CSW). In this role, my goal is to help families access community support and resources so that every student can attend school consistently and have the opportunity to be as successful as possible.
I have been with the Winnipeg School Division for nearly ten years, and I truly enjoy working with students, families, and staff to make the school experience as positive and supportive as it can be. As a mom of two boys, I also understand the challenges of raising a family, which is why I’m always happy to help make things a little easier wherever I can.
At Elmwood High School, my goal is simple: to provide meaningful support to every student and their families. I hope that through authentic engagement, fun activities, and programming in the Community Room, we can help students thrive and improve attendance. Additionally, I will be attending Parent Advisory Council meetings this year, where I’ll share updates on the programs and activities planned each month.
