Lunch Program

Ralph Brown School is pleased to offer a school lunch program at no cost to families.  During the lunch hour, students eat in their classrooms and are supervised by Educational Assistants.  We encourage to families to pack healthy items and avoid sending pop, energy drinks, candy or other foods high in sugar.  Unfortunately, we are unable to heat up or cook any food items for students.  

Students typically eat lunch from 12:00 to 12:25 in their classrooms and then weather permitting, go outside from 12:25 to 12:55.  

All students are welcome to stay.  In fact, we the majority of our students do participate, so we assume all students will stay for lunch unless we are notified otherwise by families. Students that attend Machray Daycare may choose to attend either the daycare or school program.  

For the safety reasons, all students who stay for lunch are not allowed to leave the school property unless families have notified the school office to give permission.  Students who leave the grounds without permission will be considered missing.  In this case, a call is placed to 911 to report the student as missing, followed by the Superintendent and then the family.
