Commemorative Performance

In 2019-2020, École Robert H. Smith celebrated its centennial. To mark the occasion, several RHS students, including Maisie Manning, Cleo Marchant, Ellie Trickett, and Aubrey Kroeker, came to the school to record the original school song.

Mrs. Karen Mitchell, a former music teacher at Robert H. Smith School, graciously played the piano accompaniment for the song. Mrs. Mitchell noted that “The song was composed by W.H. Anderson in 1933. Traditionally, the song had been sung at the school’s grade 6 farewell by a choir composed of grade 5 students.” Thank you to Mrs. Mitchell, Mr. Ossachuk, and Madame Maynard for making the arrangements to practice and perform the musical piece.
