What is a scholarship? 
Scholarships are grants of financial aid awarded to students for the purpose of attending post-secondary education. Scholarships are generally gifted awards and do not need to be repaid.

Do I qualify for a scholarship? 
Scholarships can be awarded to students for a variety of reasons. Usually a scholarship will look at multiple areas of a student's life.

What do scholarships look for? 
Below is a list of some activities and skills that scholarships may look for:
- extra-curricular activities
- participation in school events
- community service
- student council
- school clubs and groups
- volunteer experience
- leadership
- academic performance/accomplishments
- extra-curricular accomplishments
- ability to be a team player
- confidence
- organization skills
- attention to detail
- positive attitude
- reliable/good attendance history
