Open Office

Some students do not have Microsoft Word at home and aren’t able to work on Word documents for homework. The solution is to download a free program called Open Office. This program allows students to open, edit, and save Word, Powerpoint, and Publisher documents in a format that is compatible with the Microsoft programs we have at school. For instance, a student could email a Word assignment to herself (or bring it home on a memory stick), open it at home with Open Office, complete it, and email it back to herself or save it to the memory stick. The file can then be opened at school with the appropriate Microsoft Office program. Follow this link to download Open Office.
