Student Privacy

March 3, 2022

A wide variety of multi-functioning communication devices such as cell phones, iPods, and MP3 players are being brought to school by students.  Many of these devices, particularly cell phones, are able to send e-mails and text messages as well as video recordings to other users and personal computers, and are being used inappropriately.

As such, we have a No Cell Phone Use Policy at École Stanley Knowles School to protect the privacy and safety of all children and adults in the building.

Students are NOT allowed to use their cell phones during the day at school.  Students must turn off and keep all cell phones out of sight at all times while they are in school.   This includes both supervised lunch time in the building and recesses.  Other hand held devices such as iPods, MP3 players, and earphones are not to be used in school.

This policy is in place to enable students to focus on their learning and also to reduce the number of incidents of cyber-bullying.

If parents/guardians need to each their children during the day at École Stanley Knowles School, they are encouraged to call the school at 204 694-0483 and leave a message for their child.
