Partnership 2gether

February 14, 2024

Brock Corydon School enjoys a personal connection with our partner school, Ramat Korazim School in Upper Galilee in Israel.

Creating a Living Bridge ("Gesher Chai")

Partnership 2gether (P2G) is an exciting project that builds a “living Bridge” (gesher chai, in Hebrew) between Jews in the Diaspora and Jews in Israel. Since 1997, the Canadian Coast to Coast communities (Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Ottawa and the Atlantic Region) have been matched with five municipalities in Israel's Galilee Panhandle. P2G involves a variety of Living Bridge programs developed to strengthen Jewish values and to foster a connection among elementary and high school students and teachers in the Galilee Panhandle and in Canada. This is achieved through innovative educational projects and reciprocal visits.

About Winnipeg's Partnership

The bridge between Winnipeg and Israel's Galilee Panhandle is regularly crossed as students from Brock Corydon School and the Gray Academy of Jewish Education maintain frequent contact with students in the Galilee. Through email, letters and visits, the students are learning more about each other and each another's countries. P2G reinforces and builds the concept of a world Jewish Family. For more information, contact Abby Flackman at aflackman@jewishwinnipeg.org
