Sage Picking

On October 6, Rooms 14, 15, and 19 went to Assiniboine Forest to pick sage. Assiniboine Forest is a 700 acre nature park, home to many different plants and animals.
The students learned about sustainable harvesting of medicines, as well identified other plants in the forest.
The sage picked by the students will be dried and used for school smudging.
