Q: What are the program fees?

Applicants are encouraged to review the most up-to-date fee schedule before applying.
Q: What does tuition include?
A: Tuition fees include enrollment in the Winnipeg School Division International Education Program and access to academic programming within WSD schools.
Additional costs may apply depending on the student's program and circumstances. These may include:
- Homestay

- Other applicable program fees
Please refer to the current fee schedule for a complete breakdown of applicable costs.
Q: Are medical insurance fees included?
A: Medical insurance is mandatory for all international students.
WSD International partners with Ingle International to provide medical insurance coverage for students while they study in Canada. Medical insurance fees are included in the required program fees.
Additional information about medical insurance is available on the WSD International insurance information page.
Q: How do I make payments?
A: After an application has been reviewed and approved, fee invoices will be made available through the True North application portal.
Payment instructions and available payment methods will be provided only to the email address used to submit the student's application.
Please make sure that the email address provided during the application process is accurate, active, and regularly monitored. Applicants and families should also check their spam or junk folder regularly to ensure that important payment information is not missed.
Applicants should follow the payment instructions provided by WSD International and ensure that payments are made by the applicable deadline.
WSD International is not responsible for delays resulting from an incorrect, inactive, or inaccessible email address.
Q: Who will receive payment instructions?
A: Payment instructions will be sent only to the email address used to submit the student's application. Applicants and families should ensure that this email address is accurate and accessible throughout the application and admissions process.
Please regularly monitor the email account, including the spam or junk folder, for communications from WSD International. If the email address used for the application needs to be updated, please contact WSD International as soon as possible.
Q: Can someone else pay the student's fees?
A: Yes. A parent, guardian, sponsor, representative, approved agent, or another individual may make a payment on behalf of a student.
When making a payment, please ensure that the student's information is included as instructed so that WSD International can correctly identify and apply the payment to the student's account.
Q: Are fees refundable?
A: Refund eligibility depends on the timing and reason for withdrawal or cancellation.
In some situations, partial or full refunds may be available, such as study permit refusals or approved withdrawals before the program begins.
However, application fees, medical insurance fees, administrative fees, and the required $2,000 CAD deposit are non-refundable.
Families should carefully review the Fees and Refunds Information page and WSD International's Withdrawals, Cancellations and Refund Policy for complete refund conditions, deadlines and applicable fees before applying or making a payment.
Q: Is the $2,000.00 CAD deposit refundable?
A: No. The required $2,000 CAD deposit is non-refundable. The deposit is applied toward the student's total tuition fees.
Applicants and families should carefully review the refund policy before submitting the deposit.
Q: What happens if my Study Permit is refused?
A: If a student's Study Permit application is refused, the family should notify WSD International and provide the required documentation as soon as possible.
Refund eligibility following a Study Permit refusal is determined according to WSD International's Withdrawals, Cancellations and Refund Policy.
Applicants should not assume that all fees will be refunded, as certain fees and deposits are non-refundable.
WSD International does not provide individual immigration advice. Applicants who require advice regarding their immigration circumstances should consult an authorized immigration representative.
Q: What happens if I decide not to attend WSD International after paying my fees?
A: If a student decides not to attend after fees have been paid, the applicant must notify WSD International and follow the applicable withdrawal procedures.
Any refund will be determined according to WSD International's Withdrawals, Cancellations and Refund Policy, including applicable deadlines and non-refundable fees.
Applicants should wait for confirmation from WSD International regarding their withdrawal and any applicable refund.
Q: Can I pay my fees in installments?
