Winnipeg School Division, the largest school district in Manitoba, has 79 schools and over 33,000 students.


Please take note of the following guidelines for international students who wish to enroll in Winnipeg School Division schools:
  • High school students may indicate their preferred school on their application. However, please note that school preferences are not guaranteed and are subject to availability.
  • Middle school students who are 12 and 13 years old may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
  • Students younger than 12 years old are only considered for enrolment if they live with their natural parents or legal guardians.
  • International students must be transported to and from school by their parents or guardians because they are not eligible for transportation or bussing provided by the Winnipeg School Division.
  • Please be advised that not all schools within the Winnipeg School Division are currently accepting international students.
