Homestay

The WSD International Homestay program is an in-house program offered by the Winnipeg School Division International Education Program for our International Students. We provide a safe and supportive environment for our students to live in while attending school in the Winnipeg School Division.

Our Homestay families are welcoming and passionate about providing our students with a comfortable and caring environment. They have been carefully screened to ensure that our students have a loving and healthy place to live during their stay in Winnipeg.

Before arriving in Winnipeg, our international students can learn about their Homestay family in advance. Upon arrival at the airport, students are greeted by the Homestay family and a member of the WSD International Staff. 

Our Homestay Coordinator provides each Homestay family with a comprehensive orientation to ensure a smooth transition. To assist students and Homestay families in understanding the expectations of the Homestay program, each is provided with a copy of our Program Guidelines.

Students and Homestay families can easily reach our Homestay Coordinator via email, office, or cell phone in case of any issues or emergencies. 

*International Students who do not apply through a WSD partner agency are not eligible for the WSD International Homestay Program.
