Winnipeg YMCA-YWCA ROC program a perfect fit

WAEC students who are also parents of young children were thrilled to receive kits from the Recreational Opportunities for Children (ROC) program at the "Y". Each child in the family was able to choose from a variety of activities such reading, games, music, robotics, outdoor sports and more. This initiative encourages parents to explore the many resources available to low-income families who are intent on keeping their children active.  The goal of the program is to promote connection within the community, thus giving parents the tools they need to pursue these resources in the future.  Thank you to Program Coordinator Grant Richter for the informative presentation!
