Tec Voc High School’s Aerospace and Aviation Technologies students recently had the honour of being the first high school students in all of Canada to tour the new Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada.

The students were invited to visit on May 9 to provide feedback on the museum’s programs and facilities prior to its grand opening on May 19. They were thrilled to use their knowledge from their courses and training to explore the diverse aircraft at the museum.

The new museum highlights aviation’s development and unique history in Canada, including diverse stories from our Indigenous communities. Tec Voc students explored the stories of pioneers of air travel, along with the future of aviation.

"The Aerospace program at Tec Voc has a strong relationship with many industry partners and is looking forward to building a strong partnership with the museum," said Sylvia Martin, AMMOP Coordinator at Tec Voc. "A special thank you to the CEO of the museum, Terry Slobodian, for providing our students with the unique opportunity to be the first high school students to visit this innovative museum."
