Terry Fox Run

Students and staff were excited to head outdoors on September 28 as a whole school community to run and raise funds for cancer in the 42nd annual Terry Fox Run. This amazing community has raised over $2800 for the Terry Fox Foundation! Students had the privilege of having an ambassador from the Terry Fox foundation come and share her personal story of her battle with cancer and how "Being Like Terry" helped her get through it. We were all encouraged to Be Like Terry and set goals, and continue to put one foot in front of the other.

Staff and students took advantage of the beautiful fall weather to complete the run. Physical Education teacher, Mme Van Lieshout, led the whole school in a warm up. The grades N-K ran a small circuit in part of the field, grades 1-3 ran a large circuit around the whole school field and the grades 4-6 ran the full block all the way around the field and school.
