Welcome to the Winnipeg Schools’ Science Fair 2025! Bienvenue à l’expo-sciences des écoles 2025! 

We are pleased to offer the Winnipeg Schools’ Science Fair in both English and French. We are excited to meet again at an in-person fair which will be held at Tec Voc High School.

Deadline for Project Registration: Friday, March 7, 2025

Winnipeg Schools’ Science Fair and Judging: Wednesday, April 9, 2025

Awards Ceremony: Friday, April 11, 2025

Required to Participate in WSSF 2025

To compete in WSSF 2025, all projects must complete the following two steps:

STEP 1 

Complete a Certificate of Origin

A Certificate of Origin for each student participating in the science project must be completed. This form must be signed by the student, the parents, and the teacher. If a project has two students, each student must complete their own Certificate of Origin. Email either a scanned copy or a photo of your completed Certificate of Origin to Mei Chi Kwok at mkwok@wsd1.org.

STEP 2

Register your project

Once you have determined you will be competing in WSSF 2025, register your project by completing the Winnipeg Schools' Science Fair 2025 Student Project Registration Form.

Wednesday, April 9, 2025    

7:00 to 8:45 a.m.
Exhibitors set up their projects in Tec Voc High School gym (Hornet Dome)

9:00 to 9:45 a.m.
Opening Ceremony — Tec Voc High School Theatre

10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Round A - Judging

12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
Lunch

1:00 to 3:30 p.m.
Round B – Judging
Science Experiences

3:30 to 4:00 p.m.
Projects and tables take down

Please note that the public, parents, guardians, friends and families are invited to view the projects from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

Please note that the WSSF team and Tec Voc High School will not be held responsible for any lost or missing items. Please do not bring valuables to the fair. The student participants are responsible for the setup and take down of their projects and display items. All projects and items must be removed from their display area by 3:30 p.m., April 9, 2025.

After this time, projects will be removed from the tables and set aside. After 4:00 p.m., the remaining projects and items will be disposed of. Please arrange to have someone else pick up your project if you cannot do so by this time.
