International Students Enjoy a Canadian Winter December 2018

On Thursday, Dec. 13, students from Winnipeg School Division’s international program enjoyed winter sunshine and the opportunity to try ice skating, sledding and snowshoeing at Winnipeg’s Harbour View Park and Recreation Complex, many for the first time.

Nearly 50 international students from six different WSD high schools came together for the event, which also included cookies made by an international student in Tec-Voc’s Pastry Arts program, and hot cocoa.

Celebrating all-things-winter reminded international students why they choose Winnipeg and Canada as their study destination of choice.
