Educational assistants in WSD are trained and certified to support the work of teachers and clinicians to help students reach their full potential. EAs work for 10 months and enjoy summer, winter and spring break off. WSD offers a competitive starting salary ($22.31 to $24.53 depending on classification), pension and benefits.
In addition to assisting and support students within integrated classrooms and resource room settings, EAs may also be responsible for administering medication, keeping records of student progress and behaviour and working with specialized equipment.
