Superintendents Team, Education and Curriculum
The Superintendents Team, Education and Curriculum provides division-wide leadership for educational planning, curriculum, and strategic priorities. Each superintendent leads a portfolio of specialized programs and initiatives while also overseeing and supporting school administration within an assigned family of schools. Together, the team supports schools in creating rich learning opportunities for every student to learn, grow, and thrive.

Matt Henderson
Superintendent of Schools and Chief Executive Officer
Matt Henderson serves as Winnipeg School Division’s Superintendent/Chief Executive Officer. Appointed by the Board of Trustees, he provides leadership for the division, oversees divisional operations and advances WSD’s strategic priorities. He works closely with senior leadership and schools to support student success and implement the direction of the Board of Trustees.
Executive Assistant to the Superintendent

Alison Hall provides executive support to Superintendent/Chief Executive Officer, Matt Henderson. She leads a team of administrative assistants who coordinate the planning and scheduling of initiatives involving the Superintendents Team.

Divisional Kookum
The divisional Kookum provides cultural guidance and support across Winnipeg School Division. Through their teachings, relationships, and lived experience, they model the good life – Mino-Pimatisiwin – and help foster belonging, respect, and connection for all students, families, and staff.
Senior Administration Team, Operations
The Senior Administration Team, Operations reports to the Superintendent/Chief Executive Officer and provides division-wide leadership for finance and budgeting, operational planning, human resources, property management, IT systems, and communications and public engagement.

Mari Aguirre
Director of Facilities Management
The Director of Facilities Management leads a team of architects, engineers and tradespeople who oversee the maintenance, repair and renewal of WSD buildings and grounds. The team also plans and coordinates construction, landscaping, and site improvement projects to ensure schools remain safe and accessible.

Clayton Bodkyn
Secretary-Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer
The Secretary-Treasurer/Chief Financial Officer oversees all financial operations across the division, including accounting, budget planning, payroll, purchasing, and auditing. They provide financial leadership to support responsible decision-making, accountability, and the effective use of public funds.

Ryan Hughes
Assistant Superintendent of Staff Support and Relations
The Assistant Superintendent of Staff Support and Relations provides division-wide leadership for recruitment and staffing, labour and employee relations, and staff health and wellness. The team fosters a culture that is grounded in WSD values of joy, love, and rigour.

Brenda Lapointe
Board and Community Liaison Services Officer
The Board and Community Liaison Services Officer provides administrative support to the Board of Trustees, including agenda development and meeting minutes. The office builds relationships with families and community partners, helps families address concerns, and supports schools in strengthening their role at the centre of their communities. It also oversees the division’s centralized Permits and Enrolment departments.

Chris MacKinnon
Director of Information Technology
The Director of Information Technology oversees the delivery and modernization of technology services across all WSD schools and divisional offices. This includes technology infrastructure, cybersecurity planning, data management, educational and business applications, and technical support for staff.

Darren McRobbie
Assistant Secretary-Treasurer
The Assistant Secretary-Treasurer leads key financial and operational planning for the department, including budget planning and analysis, purchasing and procurement, and contract management. They also oversee Transportation and Central Print Services.
