Staff Support and Relations oversees all aspects of human resources for Winnipeg School Division’s teaching and non-teaching staff. The department supports nearly 6,000 employees throughout their careers and helps foster equitable and welcoming workplaces across WSD.

The department comprises three teams:

Recruitment and Hiring

Coordinates recruitment, hiring, onboarding, employee records, and other employment services.

Labour Relations

Supports collective bargaining, contract administration, workplace policies, and the fair resolution of employee and labour relations matters.

Workplace Culture and Wellness

Promotes inclusive, respectful, safe, and healthy workplaces through employee wellness, workplace safety and health, and employment equity.
