Accessing Student Records

Students who attended Winnipeg School Division schools before June 1993 may request a statement of their marks from WSD Student Records, located at Library Support Services. 

Records are available for the schools listed below.

Students who attended any of these schools after June 1993 must contact the school directly or contact Manitoba Education Student Records.

*NOTE: No records were obtained from Montrose or Sister Macnamara schools. Please contact Manitoba Education, Student Records at 1-800-667-2378 (within Manitoba) or at 1-204-773-2998 (from outside Manitoba).

Records may be released only to the student or with signed authorization from the student.

Staff need prior notice to retrieve records. To request your student records, please email WSD Student Records. Because of the confidential nature of the documents, two pieces of identification, one with a photo, will need to be sent to us. 

You will be asked to fill out a letter of release (sample/template available in PDF) including the following information: 

• Student's full name plus any variations or nicknames that might have appeared on school records
• Student's name at present, if different from above
• Student's date of birth
• Last school attended in Winnipeg School Division
• Address to which records may be sent
• Student's signature

The release may be sent as an e-mail attachment; however, it must be printed and scanned in order to transmit the student's signature. E-mail the attachment to WSD Student Records.

Records cannot be released until this written and signed request has been received.
