International Education students enjoy a winter adventure
February 8, 2021
Over 80 students with WSD’s International Education program recently enjoyed a day of winter activities at Fort Whyte Alive.
The students tried their hand at sledding, snowshoeing, the Inuit blanket toss, toasting bannock over a campfire and more.
Students were also given a refresher session on wearing appropriate gear for a Manitoba winter. Fort Whyte had plenty of toques, scarves, ski pants and other accessories available for students to bundle up.
As evident in the smiles in the gallery below, a good time was had by all.
WSD’s partner Canada Homestay Network is always looking for families to host its international students. Interested families can find more information about this rewarding opportunity at www.whyihost.ca .
