Funding for this project will support the increase and variety of Indigenous books available to students and teachers during guided reading and the home reading program. The new books will provide a breadth of choices to integrate Indigenous perspectives across the curriculum. Funding is Home Reading Books.

Indigenous Culture Club
The Indigenous Cultural Club will provide students and opportunity to participate in culturally enriched activities and expanding Indigenous languages. During lunch hour once a week, the Lodge Room will be used where students will learn Hoop Dancing, Drumming and Singing, and rattle making. Time is allocated for students to share ideas and their personal learning in a sharing circle. Funding is Fee for Service/Performances, Supplies not available in school.

Outdoor Education Grade 5/6 Camp - B'nai Brith
The camp project provides opportunities for students to experience outdoor learning, build positive relationships with their peers, focus on healthy choices and physical activity and learn new skills. Student learning will include Physical Education, Science Social Studies and Music. Funding is Camp accommodations/rental fees, activities, food, and transportation.

Students at Sister MacNamara School will experience learning in an outdoor environment that will include environmental studies, Indigenous teachings, physical education. Outdoor Education Infusing Indigenous Perspectives Inquiry
The project will support the continuation of students’ inquiry into sustainable environmental practices, infusing Indigenous perspectives into their curricular activities and projects. To culminate the learning, students will finish the year with an inquiry into pre-settler ways of living with a focus on transportation. Students will spend the day at Fort Whyte Alive participating in the canoe and kayak lessons. Funding is Student Admissions.

Mother's Project - A Career Trek Program for Adolescent Parents
The project introduces grade 11 and 12 parenting teens to postsecondary education at U of M, U of W, RRC, and South Winnipeg Technical. Participants will explore various facilities and courses so that they can make informed decisions regarding their future career paths. This has been an ongoing program that has transformed the lives of students who participate. Students will discover they can succeed in post-secondary institutions that will change their lives, families and generations to come. Funding is Fee for Service/Performances.
Keewatin Prairie Community School

Basketball Jerseys - Name Change
Funding for this project will support the purchase of new school jerseys reflecting the new school name. Students are currently wearing the ‘Cecil Rhodes’ name during sporting events. In moving forward in the journey to reconciliation, the school would like to shift from the old name to the new. The schools’ yearbook committee would like to see the new jerseys reflected in the upcoming yearbook. This will be a large expense for the school as the volleyball team jerseys will be replaced the following year. Funding for this project is Supplies not available in school.

Swimming Program
The project will support students’ experiences in water, learning basic swimming skills and have a therapeutic experience that enhances regulation and physiotherapy programs. Students who are in Inclusive Education programs will participate weekly for 12 weeks. The swimming program will strengthen muscles, providing learning skills in water and is an excellent opportunity to work on physiotherapy goals. Instruction is done through one-on-one interactions and group activities. Funding is Student Admissions/Registrations, Supplies not available in school.

Funding for this project will support the development of a 200 m rubberized track with 2 mini soccer fields and fitness activity stations. This development will provide students and community members opportunities to exercise in a safe and accessible area, and will promote a healthy lifestyle. Funding for this project is Playground Re-development.

Funding for this project will support the replacement of the basketball hoop. In collaboration with the building department, the school can replace the broken basketball hoop and provide students the continued opportunity for physical activity through cooperative play. Montrose Outdoor Classroom
Funding for this project supports the development of an outdoor learning space at Montrose School. The outdoor classroom will create a new and accessible way for student and community members to connect with nature and engage in active outdoor recreation and learning. The outdoor classroom will enhance the existing outdoor learning programs by creating a dedicated safe learning area. Student learning will include Social Studies, ESD, Science, Math and Physical Education. Funding is Playground Improvement.
