It’s time for a new name!

Cecil Rhodes School in Winnipeg School Division is seeking community input for a new school name.

SOME RULES

  • The name should honour the theme of Truth and Reconciliation
  • No names of people, past or present, will be considered
  • Include a rationale for the name you are suggesting
  • Your submission must include your contact information to be considered.


Deadline for submissions is Monday, February 28, 2022

The Board of Trustees of Winnipeg School Division, after consulting with school and community members, passed a motion in 2021 to proceed with renaming Cecil Rhodes School by September 2022. Submissions for new name suggestions will be reviewed by a committee of WSD, school and community members.
