Mr. Wiens

This month we focused on being thankful for who we are, what we have and what we want for our world. This worked nicely with the thankful turkeys we made that represented some of the things we are most thankful for. We also started our reading and writing groups that help us become more confident readers and writers. In social studies, we continued to learn about our local community and used our learning about Terry Fox and to create a Terry Fox class book. In math, we have been focusing on patterns, skip counting, and equality. For example, 11+12 =23 is the same as 12+11=23 which is equal to 20+3=23.
