We have had a wonderful start to the new school year! Our first weeks have focused on getting to know one another and our classroom staff, introducing ourselves, and learning our classroom routines, rules, and expectations. In Language Arts, students are building their early literacy skills through name writing, letter recognition, letter sounds, and vowel sounds. In Math, we are developing number skills through number writing, counting 1–100, patterns, and ten-frame activities, with learning experiences differentiated according to grade level and individual needs. We will begin exploring addition using number lines in October. In Science and Social Studies, we explored living and non-living things, weather, and “All About Me,” and participated in activities recognizing Orange Shirt Day and Truth and Reconciliation. Students are also working with Reading Eggs and Mathseeds, with returning students familiar with the programs and new students learning the routines. A special thank you to all the parents who joined us for our Meet the Staff event on September 17, 2026! We truly appreciate your support and partnership as we look forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and wonderful memories together!
