Our Classroom Highlights

In Math, students explored “What Makes Ten” up to 20 through hands-on bead activities. They made bracelets with 10 beads and necklaces with up to 20, incorporating patterns into their designs. We also practiced recognizing numbers 1 to 100 with math racks and marbles and learned about greater than, less than, and equal to.

In Language Arts, our Multi Level Literacy small groups began. Students built skills in the four R’s: Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening by practicing letters, sounds, and high frequency words, writing simple words, blending sounds, and following stories and directions. We also launched our Reading Buddies program with Mr. Scott Macdonell’s class, which students loved!

In Social Studies, students worked in groups to create and act out skits on solving conflicts and handling bullying. They also discussed Thanksgiving Day and made pumpkin pie crafts to share what they are thankful for. In Science, we explored the seasons, focused on fall and winter, and learned about dressing appropriately to stay healthy.

To wrap up the month, on October 31, we enjoyed a fun Halloween afternoon filled with parlor games, donuts, and chips. Students came dressed in their friendly costumes, making it a joyful and memorable celebration!
