Mr. O'Donnell

We have had a wonderful start to the school year in our room! In Math, we have been working on skip-counting and reviewing our foundational skills to make sure we have a strong base for the year ahead. In Science, we have started exploring Structures and Materials, learning about how different materials are used and how structures are designed. In Social Studies, we have been discussing citizenship, including our rights and responsibilities as members of our classroom, school, and community. In ELA, we have been busy building our routines and skills through spelling, reading, and journaling. Students have been sharing their ideas, practicing their writing, and developing their reading habits. It has been great to see everyone settling into our classroom routines and getting to know one another as learners. We just completed some writing on feathers in honour of The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation that our class is very proud of. Looking ahead to October, we have lots of exciting learning planned! In Math, we will dive into place value and continue strengthening our number sense. We will also begin reading a class novel, conduct more Science experiments, and continue building our skills across all areas. Most importantly, we will keep working hard, supporting one another, and trying our best every day!
