Fitness Fridays!
September 14, 2023
Staff and students took to the field for the last 30 minutes of class as part of Fitness Friday.
Children need to move their bodies, especially through play. Active outdoor play has been shown to improve physical and mental health, as well as facilitate learning by increasing the duration of students’ ability to concentrate. Outdoor play is beneficial for children beyond the physical activity it provides. It helps them socialize, understand their bodies better, engage in imaginative play and enjoy the outdoors. We want our students to grow up to be healthy, well-rounded individuals with a strong sense of independence and compassion. The best way to teach these qualities is to get them outside.
