Ecole Sir William Osler learned about the eclipse
April 8, 2024
Ecole Sir William Osler grades 1-6 classes spent last week learning about the eclipse; the how, the why and the potential dangers of watching it unprotected. All students in grades 1-6 who wished to view the eclipse were able to gather in the outdoor classroom for about 15 minutes at the peak of the eclipse. Thanks to an amazingly supportive parent community, we had enough eclipse shades for every student in the school!
It was awesome to watch the students' wonder and excitement of being able to see something that happens so rarely. When students learn about important events like this and expectations are made explicit, it makes the joys of learning and experience amazing!
