Hello families! I am so happy to be your child’s Grade 1 and 2 teacher this year at Mulvey School. I love teaching early learners, and I want our classroom to be a safe, happy place for everyone. I know that starting a new school year is a big step, especially for those who have recently arrived at Mulvey! Please know that you are always welcome here. How We Learn in Room 10: Children learn best when they are having fun and using their hands. In our classroom, we will: Learn by doing: We use fun tools like clay and whiteboards to practice new skills. Play games together: We play math and reading games to help us learn and make friends. Follow their interests: We will read books and do activities about things your children love. Working Together: You are the most important people in your child’s life. I want to work together with you to help your child grow and learn this year. October we will be working on: Weather and Seasons Belonging (identity, emotions) Recognizing numbers around us Making 10 Fine motor skills (printing, cutting, pasting, etc.) If you ever have a question or want to talk, please reach out to me!
