Spring is in the air! What a pleasure it will be to spend more time outside and enjoy the warmer weather. Thank you to all the parents and caregivers who participated in the parent-teacher interviews. Family support is crucial to the success of any student.             

Once school resumes, we will be continuing into the world of fractions. Concepts such as part-whole relationships, improper fractions and related mixed numbers, decimals and percents will be the focus. We will continue our look into the Second World War and our look at the Holocaust through the lenses of stereotyping, prejudice and discrimination and then proceed to how the war affected people at home. I look forward to the interesting discussions that this topic generates!  In ELA we will expand our writing to include other genres such as poetry and continue to perfect our writing proper paragraphs. As for Science, we may work on our research techniques and presentation of information through individual projects based on personal interests.
