Early Childhood Transition Network

February 8, 2021

A long-range planning process is in place to plan appropriately for children with special needs entering school from the preschool system.

The Early Childhood Transition Network meets throughout the year to identify students with special needs eligible to attend school in September.

Where students are identified as requiring supports, intakes are held with all families and community agencies in order to plan a smooth transition process and ensure supports upon school entry.

For preschool children, or students new to attending school in Manitoba/Canada and whom are residing with in Winnipeg School Division, referrals can be made by parents or community agencies through the Early Childhood Transition Network.

Questions should be directed to Inclusion Support Services by calling Ph.: 204 774-4525.
