Clerks in WSD work for 10 months and enjoy summer, winter and spring break off. Starting as a substitute clerk, you will work at various locations across WSD to meet staffing needs. As a substitute clerk, you can apply to WSD internal job postings for part-time, full-time or term employment. WSD offers on-the-job training, continued support and advancement opportunities.

To qualify, you need to have a couple of years’ experience in day-to-day administrative functions and be at an intermediate level in Microsoft Word and Excel. Clerks need 45 wpm accurate keyboarding skills and excellent oral and written English language skills. 

Clerks interact with students, parents and caregivers, as well as other school staff on a daily basis. Your clerical expertise and supportive attitude will inspire students to succeed and help build the school community.
