Project funding will provide an opportunity for students to participate in clinic-run instruction on instruments and an opportunity to hear and see professional musicians play in an ensemble. Project funding will support student attendance at a Live Musical Performance of Sid Robinovitch's Percussion Concerto performed by the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra (MCO). Project support will provide students the opportunity to experience live theatre. "Quest is a 45 minute "choose-your-own" play that targets Grades 2-5 audiences. Pier 21 Musical
Funding for this project will support student attendance at the musical performance Pier 21, put on by the Canadian Musical Theatre Company. Student learning through this project introduces and reinforces many of the social studies curriculum objectives, while creating opportunities to discuss and reflect on historic events that tie into themes that are relevant today. This musical is based on the historical events of late summer 1939 and the arrival of refugees and immigrants to East Coast Canada. Funing is Fee For Services/Performance.
