Clifton School wins first place in 2022–23 School Safety Patrol Awards

June 22, 2023 News Story
Clifton Patrols Winnipeg 1st place

At elementary schools across WSD, school patrols work hard all school year to ensure pedestrians are able to cross the street and get to and from school in a safe manner.

Each year, members of the Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) select the top patrol teams in four districts. The constables make their selections based on patrol teams' performance while on duty.

Award-winning patrols teams were honoured at two events. WSD's Board of Trustees hosted a division-wide awards ceremony at R.B Russell Vocational High School on June 14, while WPS held its citywide ceremony on May 24.

Thank you to all of our patrols for their important role in helping students cross the street safely each school day.
